Saratoga Springs Extended Family – Chappell. Are you ready for one of my favorite neighbors at one of my favorite locations? I did this location with a twist this time! There are a handful of spots at this beautiful location that a larger/extended family can line up at. I decided to start at a spot where I usually do individual families. Expand the creative juices ya know? Next time, I’ve got another spot in mind.. who wants in??

Honestly, we really milked the location. We used five different spots. Can you spot them all?

And then can you take all the cute kiddos? I love cousins! So many sweet little blondies! And I love that I have had the chance to see them grow each year. Isn’t that so cool? My job allows me to see families grow up, capture beautiful moments for them to remember each stage, and gain amazing friends! What more can a girl ask for?

Northern Utah Extended Family – Johansen. Can you even handle all these cute kids? All those little blonde and red heads! I love seeing the genetics at work with extended families. Isn’t it so interesting? Any one else? I think it just makes my little 7th grade heart happy!

They were hoping for a lush green location, somewhere with an easy walk. I think we nailed it with both! Those long grasses were insane. SO pretty. And the density of the trees behind was crazy. Definitely keeping this on my list for any Davis County families in the upcoming years!

I’m curious of you have a favorite Davis County location? I think Bountiful Pond is my top. I’ve only shot there a couple of times, but it’s also a very good choice for a green location! If you’re hoping for a more mountain look, there are some beautiful options up South Ogden Canyon close to Morgan and Eden. I think I’m already missing the green, and fall is about to be upon us!

Mount Timpanogos Temple Wedding – Anna&Jayden. Are you guys even ready for this wedding? I included SO many images, but this is only a tiny bite of what was delivered! I legitimately spent the entire day with these two and their families. Thank goodness for gorgeous wedding details and True Lemon Energy water flavors!!

Just a few matters of business: have you seen The Magnolia‘s remodel?? Oh. My. Word. They officially opened back up around April, and my mind is blown! When Anna first told me that’s where the reception was and that they wanted extra hours to cover the luncheon because the venue was just so beautiful.. I was confused. Because I was picturing the carpet and dark areas from before.. Low and behold!! It’s SO stunning!

Second, an ambulance? Yes! We had a family member go down during family photos at the temple. Not surprising due to the intense heat of the day! Luckily, there were coolers with cold water, a cold pack from a bridesmaid who had just had surgery, and I had my neck fans that I bring for the bride and mamas! All ended well I promise.

Provo Orchard Blossom Family Photos – Shiveley. These guys!! They are Such a light! We absolutely love where we live, but not living around the corner from these guys is one reason I miss our old house. our girls were such cute little friends! At least I get to see them about once a year right? Maybe that’s why I keep up photography: I selfishly just need to see all my favorite people!

If you still don’t believe me that the orchard blooms are an incredible spot for spring photos, these must convince you. I love them so much! They are basically a sign that the earth is happy yes? Yes. Baptisms were my most popular session here last year. This year, it was families and seniors! What do we predict next year will bring? One thing I always fight for orchard blossom sessions are the spring storms! I’m aware they will always happen, but they still stress me out every single year!

Prom Group Pictures 2024. Who knew that SO many high school dance groups hire photographers now for their dance pictures?? I knew it was starting to be a thing, but I assumed couples still paid for the on site photo set up! I mean, these girls already look so beyond better than when my generation was, but holy moly they don’t even get the awkward prom photos! A little unfair? I would say so!

This sweet boy above was so kind and so on top of booking group photos for this huge group! Even when couples got lost and group stuff set in, he was so awesome. Girls, find a guy like him to head up the high school dance planning!

Northern Utah Newborn Photographer – Bills. Oh my friends. Don’t be jealous when I tell you this, but I get to squeeze these cute girls!! This is my little brother and his wife and their girl gang! With my brother going to school out of state for the last three or four ish years, it was incredibly special to have the chance to photograph the newborns of their most recent addition.

My sister and I made a day of driving with our kiddos to visit cousins. She watched our four kids downstairs while I made snagged some shots of my brother and his family upstairs. Then we ate and played! It’s truly so fun for our my kids to have more cousins around. It was fun to video chat with them, but playing in person is waaay superior.

I really need to count how many random and strange things I do while trying to get toddlers to laugh and smile at me. I feel like photographers are record breaking for such nonsense!

Newborn In Home Photography – Pearson. Do you remember this awesome couple? Remember How we trekked up the big snowy banks for their winter maternity pictures? I do! It was such an adventure! And baby was safe and sound in the womb.

Now baby girl is here! It was really special to see both mom and dad as parents for the first time. They absolutely adore their sweet, blonde girl. And oh my word, let’s take a minute for their darling doggy! I think he is use to being the only baby around, and he kept trying to steal the show! Don’t worry, I totally gave him a few moments to shine.

Utah In Home Newborn Photographer – Calderon. Get ready for all the newborn sessions! You know how movies always show spring bringing new life and animal babies? It’s totally true with us humans too! I get way more Newborn Photo Session inquiries for March through May than any other months!

This beautiful lady is a friend of a friend and just the sweetest! She knew she wanted newborn photos with her baby boy when he arrived, and they turned out so pretty!! I was dying at his tiny little blonde hairs. Baby hair is so fluffy!

Want to know something awesome? This is my house! She wanted something more homie than a natural light studio but still bright and minimal. Sounds just like my house! So I offered, and we took the photos here. No, my house does NOT always this clean. We definitely picked up beforehand, so don’t get any crazy ideas about my three littles being clean.

Winter Mountain Maternity Session – Pearson. I can’t. That’s all. I can’t handle how stunning and magical this session was. These two were SUCH troopers as we wandered and hiked the snow up the canyon! And it was totally worth it. Even when Travis was slipping and sliding on the snow bank in his nice dress up shoes! And her darling, perfect little bump. Just wait till you see their In Home Newborn session with baby girl!

We purposely chose snowy mountains but with greenery. Was Jordan Pines perfect? Why yes it was! The pines there stay green and add such a pop to snowy sessions. These were shot in January, and the snow banks along the road were already about eight feet high! There weren’t too many sledders though, so that was great for photoshopping!

Tip for maternity photos: Don’t wait until you are swollen and miserable! I try to schedule between 28-32 weeks pregnant. That way, you still have energy, you don’t feel massive and miserable, and you still have the confidence of how cute your bump is! Plus, it makes walking around the mountain easier!

Imagine your whole family in these colors at an orchard full of blooms! Or a mountain scape that a so newly lush with greens. Oh man, as a photographer, it makes me almost drool! Dramatic much? Nah. It’s the total truth! When you start dreaming of warmer weather, I dream of the warm, green sessions I’m about to have!
