The Extended Family Photos Must Have Shots can be an intimidating list to tackle! But extended family photo sessions are so incredibly fun. Seeing the relationships of not only an immediate family but of cousins and adult siblings and grandparents? It is So special! And let’s just mention quickly that it is NOT easy to get a whole extended family together. Please take the time for a photo session!
Without further ado, my must have shot list for extended family pictures:
1. Original siblings then add spouses. This shot is really fun for grandma and grandpa to see their original family and how much it has grown.
2. Grandkids with grandparents. This should be a number one priority! Those grandbabies are grandma and grandpa’s pride a joy!
3. I think it’s still incredibly important to capture individual families. They are their own family, and if they are all going to get dressed and ready and pretty, they should have a shot just them!
4. Another fun shot that can be done is the grandma and grandpa individually! Sometimes it can be fun for future posterity to look back on, but also, some grandparents don’t want to stand in front of the camera alone!
